February “speakeasy” at Cyrano’s

Happy Mardi Gras!  Honestly, I think this “speakeasy” at Cyrano’s in Webster Groves was our best event yet and definitely the most interactive!!

When selecting the space for the February event which was one day after Valentine’s Day, we decided to embrace the upcoming Mardi Gras holiday instead because of the amazing French quarter inspired decor.  I got the idea to throw beads off the balcony and have attendees answer fun questions for beads in order to up the fun & mingling at our event. I ordered 720 beads and vowed not to take any home with me.  Well, the crowd of over 60 people really warmed to the event and began clamoring for beads.  By the time we started throwing them off the balcony, it really felt like a Mardi Gras parade!

Huge thanks to Cyrano’s for wonderful hospitality as well as our surprise vendor/raffle Jeanette with Material Girl for her pillow donation.  And also, thanks to all who attended and made this an event to top next month!
