Enjoy an exclusive peek at the work of St. Louis’ most exciting new artists at Arty Parties, a series of events that will showcase local talent in the chic surroundings of Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis and Cielo Bar & Restaurant.
Jeff Kapfer, who is best known for his vibrant paintings of birds, is the first featured artist. A selection of his most recent work will be displayed for a private showing in the Presidential Suite on the Hotel’s 19th floor, followed by a celebratory reception in Cielo Bar.

Michael Van Valkenburgh, Principal, Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, Brooklyn and Cambridge, MA Charles Eliot Professor in Practice of Landscape Architecture, Graduate School of Design, Harvard University will lecture at Steinberg Auditorium. Last week, we sought your input on the most recent evolution of the City Arch River plan to connect the Arch with the City.

In November, Perennial Artisan Ales began a Charity Wednesday program to give back to the various organizations around St. Louis doing good. Each Wednesday 20% of beer proceeds will go to that nights organization and, on Wednesday, February 8, that’s Slow Food St. Louis.

* Benefit for The Luminary Arts Benefit for The Luminary Arts
Time: 6:00 pm
Niche Furniture will be hosting a cocktail party on February 9th to support The Luminary Arts’ capital campaign. You are invited to come out for an evening of drinks and discussion about the future plans for The Luminary. 10% of ALL sales from the evening will be donated to their campaign and you will have opportunities to meet current and former resident artists, partners and sponsors as well as The Luminary's Directors.

We will be gathering at Shady Jack's Saloon at 1432 North Broadway for an evening of casual unstructured conversation about the recently updated City+Arch+River improvements, the potential for City to River's boulevard concept north of Washington Avenue, potential improvements to the Edward Jones Dome, and other current urban issues (whatever you want to talk about). Come hang out, have some beer or your favorite cocktail and enjoy the night with all your friends!

In partnership with the Missouri Growth Association (MGA) and St. Louis Regional Chamber & Growth Association (RCGA) Speakers: Marc Lopata, Microgrid and Rich Greene, Clarus Advisors Presenters will discuss how to make the case for pursuing LEED certification as well as how to go about getting funding if LEED certification is pursued. Attendees will learn about the value of energy & water efficiency, indoor air quality, procurement and more. ROI and cost justification will be explored. Presenters will identify restrictions and requirements of senior bank debt, what banks will and will not finance and under what conditions, and how to present your project to "the bankers". 5:30-7:30pm at Alberici, 8800 Page Ave. (63114).
